What to Expect When a Mobile Mechanic Comes to Your House

First time booking a mobile mechanic? Here's exactly how a visit goes, start to finish, and the handful of things that make it go smoother.

Booking

Text or call with the year, make, model, engine if you know it, and what's happening. Photos and a video of any noise help enormously. We'll confirm a time window and tell you what we're bringing.

Where to park the car

Flat and reasonably level is the main thing. Concrete or asphalt is best; packed gravel is fine; a steep driveway or soft grass is not, because jack stands need solid ground. Leave a few feet of space on the side we'll be working on. If you're at an apartment or office, check that vehicle work is allowed in the lot — most are fine, some HOAs are not.

Weather

Light rain is fine for most jobs; we bring a canopy. Lightning, heavy rain, or ice, we'll reschedule. Summer heat doesn't stop us but we'll start early if we can.

During the work

You don't need to stay outside, but you're welcome to. We'll confirm the diagnosis before we start and quote the price before we replace anything. If we find something else, we show you and you decide — no surprise line items.

Parts

We bring what we expect to need based on your description. If the diagnosis turns up something different, we can usually get parts within an hour or two from suppliers in Statesville, Mooresville, or Hickory. Occasionally a part has to be ordered and we come back — we'll never leave a car in worse shape than we found it.

Payment

Card, cash, or digital payment when the job is done. You get an itemized invoice by text or email with the parts and labor listed.

Cleanup

Old parts and fluids go with us. Your driveway looks the way it did when we arrived.

Ready when you are.

Text or call with your vehicle and what's going on. We'll confirm a window and bring the parts.
