Engine mounts are rubber and hydraulic cushions that keep the engine from rocking. When one collapses you feel a clunk when you shift from Park to Drive, vibration through the seat at idle, and sometimes the engine physically lifts under throttle. We replace the failed mount (and often its partner) and get the car quiet again.

Can a bad engine mount cause a check engine light?
Indirectly. Excessive engine movement can stress wiring and exhaust connections, and on some vehicles it causes a knock sensor or exhaust leak code.

If one has failed from age, the others are usually close. We'll show you the condition of each and let you decide.
